Our Mexican lava rock Mortar and Pestle (Molcajete) measures 8" across the bowl, and stands 4.5" tall.
Beautiful and useful decor touch for the kitchen or tabletop - a great way to bring a splash of Mexico to your home.
To season or cure the bowl, hand wash with a scrubby brush and air dry (do not use soap) then use pestle to grind white rice into powder, add your favorite spices and mush to a paste, then clean with the scrubby brush, air dry and it is time to cook! Repeat as necessary.
Made of stone (lava rock), our mortar and pestle is heavy duty.
Our Cactus Canyon Ceramics, Mexican Molcajete is a cooks' helper. Rough grinds of pepper, cumin, peppers, or other spices provide rustic ingredients that fortify flavors.
